Firm Overview
Wendy L. Prater, Attorney at Law: I provide hands-on legal representation to individuals, families and businesses with my general civil law practice, including the following practice areas.
"Flat Fees" Offered in Many Types of CasesI am a native Houstonian, a graduate of St. Pius X High School, and a graduate of Baylor University and Baylor University School of Law. I was licensed by The Supreme Court of Texas in 1990. In 2000, I was honored to be appointed by Gov. George W. Bush to serve a six-year term on the Texas Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners. And in 2005, I was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry to the Texas Medical Board, District One Review Committee. I like to describe my law practice as a general one. I am able to handle all types of family law matters, including divorce, child support, child custody, and paternity cases, as well as wills, powers of attorney, probate matters, injury cases, and other legal needs. I have had the pleasure of speaking before a local AARP group and the senior group at the Northwest Family YMCA about wills and powers of attorney; and I have spoken to high school students about family law. On a personal note, I am active with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a Northwest Family YMCA volunteer, and an avid local sports fan supporting the Astros, Rockets, Aeros, and now Texans! I am married to an Aggie, and support Texas A & M University as well as my alma mater Baylor University. (Sic 'Em Bears! And Gig 'Em Aggies!) Fully Licensed by The Supreme Court of Texas
