Wendy L. Prater, Attorney at Law: I provide hands-on legal representation to individuals, families and businesses with my general civil law practice, including the following practice areas.
- Family Law
- Probate/Estate Administration & Wills
- General Civil Litigation
“Flat Fees” Offered in Many Types of Cases
I am a native Houstonian, a graduate of St. Pius X High School, and a graduate of Baylor University and Baylor University School of Law. I was licensed by The Supreme Court of Texas in 1990. In 2000, I was honored to be appointed by Gov. George W. Bush to serve a six-year term on the Texas Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners. And in 2005, I was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry to the Texas Medical Board, District One Review Committee.
I like to describe my law practice as a general one. I am able to handle all types of family law matters, including divorce, child support, child custody, and paternity cases, as well as wills, powers of attorney, probate matters, and other legal needs.
I have had the pleasure of speaking before many local groups, including senior groups, about wills, powers of attorney, and probate; and I have spoken to high school students about family law.
On a personal note, I am a life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, having served on the Directions and Assistance Committee for 21 years; and an avid local sports fan supporting the Astros, Rockets and Texans! I am married to an Aggie, and support Texas A & M University as well as my alma mater Baylor University. (Sic ‘Em Bears! And Gig ‘Em Aggies!)
